Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the Bible Memory Quest iPhone app and the Bible Memory Quest website. “Bible Memory Quest,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer of the app.
Bible Memory Quest automatically creates a guest account using Firebase Authentication to save selected data to the cloud. You can optionally link your guest account using Sign in with Apple to help restore your progress on another device.
When you choose Sign in with Apple, we request your name and email address. Apple may provide your email address or a private relay address if you choose Hide My Email. This information is handled through Firebase Authentication. We do not receive your Apple Account password.
You can also choose a player display name, which is stored with your game profile.
Information we collect

Optional supporter purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The app uses verified purchase information to unlock, restore, and update access to purchased cosmetics. We do not receive your payment card details. Purchased cosmetic ownership and selections may be stored with your game data.

Firebase may process IP addresses, app and SDK information, device and operating-system information, user-agent information, authentication events, and service-performance metadata to provide, secure, and maintain Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore.

The Bible Memory Quest website does not currently use analytics, advertising trackers, cookies, or contact forms in its own code. The website is hosted on Namecheap shared hosting, which stores standard web-server access logs. Those logs may include an IP address, request and response details, timestamp, referring page, and browser or operating-system information for security and service operation.
PURPOSES: WEBSITE FUNCTIONALITY, SECURITY, AND SERVICE OPERATIONInformation kept on your device
Prayer journal titles, prayer text, categories, answered-prayer status, and related prayer details currently remain in local app storage and are not uploaded to Firebase. The bundled Bible text also stays inside the app. Some settings, inventory, cosmetic selections, and cached progress are stored locally even when related progress is also synced to the cloud.
Apple does not treat information processed only on the device as “collected” for its App Privacy label. Deleting the app generally removes its local data, subject to iOS backup and restoration behavior.
Firebase and service providers
We use Google Firebase, specifically Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Firebase acts as a service provider that helps create guest accounts and accounts linked with Apple, separate user records, synchronize progress, and store selected Bible interactions. Firebase may process information on Google infrastructure in the United States and other countries.
Apple provides Sign in with Apple and processes optional purchases through the App Store. Namecheap hosts the public website and processes standard hosting and access-log information needed to deliver it.
We do not currently integrate Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking. If those practices change, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before or when the changed version is released.
How we use information
- Operate verse memorization, battles, rewards, armor, achievements, and daily challenges.
- Save and synchronize progress and selected Bible interactions.
- Restore and synchronize supported game data across devices when you link your account with Sign in with Apple.
- Verify purchases and provide or restore purchased cosmetic access.
- Maintain trusted server time for rotating in-game content.
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose synchronization problems.
- Respond to privacy, support, or legal requests.
Retention, access, and deletion
Cloud data is generally retained while your guest account or account linked with Apple remains active, or as needed to provide the app, unless a longer period is required by law. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove copies from backups, security logs, or records that must be kept for legal or fraud-prevention purposes. Those records age out according to applicable provider schedules and law.
You can request deletion directly in the app. From Home, open Settings, find the Account section, and choose Delete Account and Progress or Delete Guest Save. Follow the confirmation steps. Accounts linked with Apple may require Apple authentication again.
When deletion completes successfully, the app removes the associated Firebase account and cloud player data, and clears local player data on that device, including locally stored prayer journal entries. Some device preferences, such as audio settings, remain.
Deleting the app alone does not delete cloud account data. Deleting your game account does not itself refund App Store purchases or remove transaction records held by Apple.
For assistance, access requests, or deletion requests you cannot complete in the app, contact privacy@biblememoryquest.com. We may ask for information needed to verify and fulfill the request and will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Children’s privacy
Bible Memory Quest is intended for people of all ages, including children and families.
Guest play does not require users to enter a name or email address. However, the app automatically creates a guest account through Firebase Authentication and synchronizes selected game progress and Bible interactions, including verse notes, as described in this policy. Guest accounts therefore involve cloud data processing.
Users may choose a player display name. If a user links their account using Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide their name and email address or a private relay address. Optional purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Prayer journal entries remain in local app storage and are not uploaded to Firebase. They may be included in device backups, depending on the user’s device settings.
Parents and guardians should help children understand which information stays on their device and which information is synchronized. Users should avoid entering sensitive personal information in display names or Bible verse notes.
Parents or guardians with questions about their child’s information, or who wish to request access or deletion, can contact privacy@biblememoryquest.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify and fulfill the request. Account deletion is also available through the app’s Settings, as described in the “Retention, access, and deletion” section.
International processing
Firebase services may process and store information in the United States and other countries where Google or its service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection rules that differ from those where you live.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the app changes. The updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes to collection or use will also be reflected in the app and its App Store privacy disclosures as appropriate.
